Another year another session in Mayfield Studio.I love shooting here, and I like that fact that it has become a regular monthly feature of my ‘photographic life’. It makes me want me own space, but that’s a headache I don’t really want right now (even if I could afford it)
Yesterdays shoot was the usual amount of fun, although on the down side, our usual ‘partners in crime’, Sam and Gregg, from Wicked Heart Photography, couldn’t make it, and they were missed.

I worked with another guy yesterday, which as you all know is pretty rare for me, so that was a lot of fun, and I like the kind of ‘x-factor pop star’ look Olli  has.

I also got to work with the wonderful Loula Cherry again too.  Lou came to stay as she loves Newcastle(she is from London), as was always fun and great to work with (wait till you see you Nonzo!)

I got a third chance to work with Fifi Galore(middle) ,who is becoming a very very good model–I think we are all going to see a lot more of her this year, and I will definitely work with her again.  It was also my second chance to shoot with Jess Fox. Yet another girl who can become really awesome as a model. Her amazing styling was done by Make Up Artist,  Jo Birkett  (highly recommended) and Fifi, helped a hand with that amazing hair. I will be working with Jess again, and we have something pretty special planned for later this year. The third girl in the shot (on the left) is Bex Taylor. I already know Bex is doing very well, and is very popular around the North East, so it was great to finally get to shoot with her. Hopefully another shoot in the not too distant future will be arranged.

And last but not least, what can I say about the man that is the King of Beards, Mr Derk German. A true friend and also one of my favorite photographers. He has a style of his own, which is creating quite a stir the more people that see of him and his work. Beautiful images,and all shot with natural light. In fact this man is the only person in the world who will hire a photographic studio and then not use any lighting!  We have a very special project, working together this year, so keep an eye out for that.
